Marvel artist givesHulka modern redesign that completely overhauls the Gamma-powered hero’s iconic purple pants. Across decades, Hulk’s clothes have evolved to match his stories while staying anchored to the unmistakable purple that’s become synonymous with the hero. Still, Hulk may be one of the most famous Marvel characters to change his appearance the least since his 1962 comic book debut.

Marvel has officially unveiled artistInhyuk Lee’sStreet-Versevariant covers, which reimagine twenty Marvel characters as stylish fashionistas. Each of these variant covers is set to accompany an upcoming issue featuring their respective character. Curiously, while Hulk’s variant cover is set to release on November 26, it’s the only one with a title that’s yet to be announced.

Hulk’s Streetwear Look Is His Best Recent Redesign

Inhyuk Lee’sStreet-VerseHulk cover is simple yet elegant. Hulk seems fully able to move and fight freely without feeling restrained by civilian clothes, but his outfit still looks quite different from his usual ripped clothes. A full issue, or even a full storyline, starring a fashionable but practical Savage Hulk would be a welcome addition to the Jade Giant’s Marvel lore.

Marvel Has Reimagined Hulk’s Purple Shorts Multiple Times Before

Throughout the years, Marvel has played with Hulk’s wardrobe while keeping his signature purple theme intact. For example, Hulk wears short wrestler-type trunks inIncredible Hulk#289 and Maestro sports a regal purple cape inHulk: Future Imperfect. As both Professor Hulk and Joe Fixit, Hulk often wears tailored purple coats or well-fitted pants that respect the spirit of the famous purple shorts.

InPlanet Hulk,Hulk’s gladiator outfit reimagines his iconic ripped pantsas a skirt-like battle garment. The design’s torn, practical look still recalls the rugged charm of his classic torn pants, even while surrounded by armor, straps, and a battle helmet. Likewise, Hulk’s Nul form has him wearing a shining set of magical pants not too different from his usual pair.
