Mario Kart Worldis one of the buzziest games coming to the Switch 2, so it’s understandable it would be getting its ownNintendo Direct.Mario Kart Worldwas originally revealed alongside the official announcement for the Switch 2, and its title was later dropped at a subsequent Nintendo Direct. Although we’ve already seen some of what the game has to offer, the dedicatedMario Kart WorldNintendo Direct will likely give us more insight into the game’s new mechanics and features.

Although we already have an extensiveroster ofMario Kart Worldracers, I wouldn’t be surprised if we learned more about what their different outfits do in the game. I’m also looking forward tolearning more about the game’s open-world aspects, and its Knockout Tour races. If you’re also excited about all the latestMario Kart Worldnews, you’ll want to know where and when to tune into its Nintendo Direct.

When And Where To Watch The Mario Kart World Nintendo Direct

Mario Kart World’s Nintendo Direct Will Happen July 17, 2025

At the end of the game’s section during the lastNintendo Direct, it was announced that there would be a dedicatedMario Kart WorldDirect on August 11, 2025, at 9 a.m. ET or 6 a.m. PT. Nintendo Directs are always available to stream on any of Nintendo’s official YouTube channels. If you are unable to watch right when it airs, don’t worry. Nintendo keeps videos of its Directs up on YouTube to watch on demand.

Nintendo also tends to split their Directs into smaller sectionsthat you can watch individually. I’m not sure if they will do the same this time, given that the Direct is all aboutMario Kart World, but they may still break it up into sections about specific parts of the game. I sometimes find this a more efficient way to comb through the announcements from a new Nintendo Direct, since I can seek out exactly what I’m interested in without watching the entire video.

What To Expect From The Mario Kart World Nintendo Direct

This Nintendo Direct Will Likely Cover New Gameplay Features

The previous Nintendo Direct was a little vague regarding what theMario Kart WorldDirect would cover, simply promising “more information.” That said, there are a few things I might expect to see, like more information onMario Kart World’s courses. Specifically,I’d expect to hear more about how we can explore the courses in Free Roam mode, and how retro courses have been redesigned to accommodate this new feature.

SinceMario Kart Worldis aSwitch 2 launch title, I would also hope we might get some updates on the status of the console itself and its delayed pre-orders. Although I doubt this would have originally been part of the plan, I’m sure Nintendo knows we’re all eager to hear about any potential changes to the Switch 2’s release plan and price. I’m sure there will also be someMario Kart Worldinformation that I’m not expecting, so I’m excited to see what thisNintendo Directhas in store for us.
