According to a number of Twitter users, Amazon has failed to deliverMario Kart 8Deluxeby its release date, even though Amazon issued a delivery date guarantee with pre-orders.Upon contacting Amazon, few options were given to customers other than to wait for it to be shipped, although some have been provided with a free month of Amazon Prime in an effort to make up for the blunder. To make matters worse, representatives of Amazon claim that none of the orders will be delivered on-time due to a widespread inventory problem, yet some Amazon users have reported receiving their orders today.
Many gamers with Amazon Prime subscriptions have been enticed into pre-ordering their games through Amazon to secure its exclusive20% Prime discount on pre-orderedand recently released games. However, users have placed their orders under the promise that they can expect to receive the game on the day of its release. Many are also feeling upset that Amazon provided no warning that this was going to occur, so players were left unable to cancel their orders and make plans to pick up the title elsewhere.
Unfortunately, Amazon has developed a track record of letting down players who have pre-ordered games and consoles.
