Love Island: Beyond The Villais a messy show that doesn’t always seem to have a specific path, butone star is carrying the entire experience for the rest of the cast. Despite many of theLove Island: Beyond The Villaseason 1stars making it clear that they’re going to be massive parts of the season, some stayed in the background.
Throughout the premiere episode ofBeyond The Villa, the stars ofLove Island USAseason 6were quick to make it clear that they were there to show off their true personalities. With a ton of growth for some in the year since their time in theLove Island USAvilla, there was a lot to update viewers on, especially with the PPG.
JaNa Craig, Serena Page, and Leah Kateb all bonded during their time onLove Island USAseason 6, and seeing they were part of theLove Island: Beyond The Villaseason 1 castmade it feel like the show was worth watching. While others joined and are stirring up drama, like Kaylor Martin and Liv Walker, the trio has stood out.
JaNa Craig Has Been The Most Interesting Part Of Beyond The Villa
Her Humor & Cattiness Made Boring Drama Fun
Love Island USAwasn’t the end for JaNa and the rest of her season’s cast, asLove Island: Beyond The Villais documenting their journey a year after their time in the villa. While the rest of the cast were concerningly messy throughout the series premiere, watching JaNa was refreshing. Her sense of humor and charm was infectious throughout the premiere.
Despite knowingthat JaNa and Kenny Rodriguez, who she wound up with onLove Island USAseason 6 and has been with in the year since, were going to appear on the show, the pair was a surprise burst of energy on screen.JaNa’s signature laugh and cutting sense of humor brought life into the somewhat dull season premieremid-way through.
While JaNa wasn’t thefocal point of the drama like Kaylor, she had her own dramatic storyline throughout the premiere that left some confused. Despite the fact that JaNa isn’t typically about drama, she navigated the uneasy storyline well and was easy to understand throughout the first episode.JaNa’s presence is a major reason to continue watchingBeyond The Villa.
Love Island: Beyond The Villa Is Messy, But JaNa Could Salvage The Series
JaNa’s Not Only Bringing Drama, She’s A Great Listener
Throughout the first episode ofLove Island: Beyond The Villa, it felt clear that the show was created in order to bring the stars back to TV, rather than because there was a story to be told about the former castmates. With so much success surroundingLove Island USAseason 6, it’s obvious thatviewers will tune in for more on their favorite Islanders.
Even so,the premiere episode was riddled with production interference, which caused issues throughout. The storylines between Liv and Kaylor, for example, felt entirely contrived in a way that doesn’t feel salvageable or interesting to watch. The storyline between JaNa and her one-timeLove Island USAmatch, Connor Newsum, was tough as well, but JaNa’s charm may be able to save it.
Moving through the season, it seems possible that there will be storylines that work and storylines that don’t when it comes toLove Island: Beyond The Villa. Rather than watching for the general sense of camaraderie from the cast, watching for some cast members over others may be the move.Watching for JaNa specifically could make the season worth it.
