Lokiseason 2 is reportedly commencing its production this summer in London. The God of Mischief was last left off trapped in the headquarters of the Time Variance Authority (TVA), an organization tasked with maintaining the order of time. With the help of Agent Mobius (Owen Wilson), Loki goes through a season-long self-redemptive arc where he discovers alternative versions of his identity, including Sylvie (Sophie Di Martino).
The first season ended with a cliffhanger whenLokiand Sylvie faced off with He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors) and subsequently broke the Sacred Timeline. The finale had a post-credit scene stamped Loki will return in season 2, which caught many by surprise because it was initially announced by Kevin Feige that post Infinity Saga some side characters will come back for a limited series. Regardless, the surprise was met with relief because there are still somany questions inLokithat fans are awaiting answers for.

While neither Disney nor Marvel Studios have made any official announcement yet, filming will reportedly begin this summer at Pinewood Studios in the United Kingdom according to Backstage. The site also reports casting “is likely to be led again by Sarah Finn and Krista Husar, with Jacqueline Gallagher, Gregory Korn, and Lory Shaye.” Per the site, the story ofLokiseason 2 will be set across the Marvel multiverse.
Some fans were left frustrated with the finale because it left them with too many questions unanswered. Tom Hiddleston, for his part, recently teased what youcan expect fromLokiseason 2. He suggested that Loki’s redemptive arc shall continue and he acknowledged that fans want him to repair his relationship with his brother.
So far Loki’s adventures haven’t had any ramifications in other MCU movies, even thoughSpider-Man: No Way Homealso has a plot that centers around the multiverse. Other Disney Plus shows have so far had connections with Phase 4 films, with Yelena Belova appearing inBlack WidowandHawkeyeand Wanda appearing inDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. There have been rumors linking Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s Ravonna Renslayer withAnt-Man and the Wasp: Quantumaniabut so far nothing has been confirmed.
Fans should expect Marvel Studios to be as tight-lipped as they always are with the plotline, potential cameos, and other details. The secrecy always adds tothe experience when it comes to MCU. Sometimes the people auditioning might even find themselves working in the production under a codename just to ensure nothing else leaks to the public. The joy of the MCU has always been unearthing the mysteries together as the filmmakers intended. Even the fans love it that way too.
