A new co-op LEGO video game calledLEGO Voyagershas just been revealed, and it’s immediately been compared toSplit Fiction. Hazelight Studios' latest release, theincredible co-op platform puzzlerSplit Fiction, let friends enjoy the game on separate platforms with just a single purchase of the game, and it seems this has influenced other publishers to follow suit.

LEGO Voyagersis a co-op building adventure that includes a Friend’s Pass, “just like Split Fiction,“according to its reveal at Summer Game Fest 2025.LEGO Voyagersis being developed by Light Brick Studio, and is published by Annapurna Interactive, releasing for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. LEGO Voyagers Is A New Co-Op Building Adventure

Put Together Some Puzzle Solutions

LEGO Voyagerscomes from the same development studio that created thecharming puzzlerLEGO Builder’s Journey. InLEGO Voyagers, players control a single LEGO brick, either blue or red, and go on an adventure filled with puzzles and platforming, all of which require various LEGO contraptions to be built.

The game makes a bold attempt at an entirely non-verbal narrative, telling the story of “how two bricks are better than one,“according toAnnapurna Interactive’s website. Like many co-op games, it’ll be an exercise in learning the value of working together. It builds on a long tradition of LEGO bringing friends and families together, and ifBuilder’s Journeyis any indication, the puzzles will be an extremely clever use of the iconic plastic bricks.

LEGO Voyagers Friend’s Pass Is A Game-Changer

A Great New Trend For Co-Op Games

LEGO Voyagersitself looks incredibly charming, but it’s a huge bonus that it’s using aFriend’s Pass a laSplit Fiction. There are wonderful gameplay opportunities to explore in a game that requires two players, butit’s not always easy convincing a friend to buy their own copy. Luckily, Friend’s Passes are seemingly becoming more popular, even reaching games likeLords of the Fallenin a recent update.

There are very few barriers to entry now forLEGO Voyagers, and the Friend’s Pass is likely a smart move on the publisher’s part. People are always looking for new co-op games, but paying for two copies – especially if a game is priced at higher AAA rates – can be a massive deterrent.LEGO Voyagers' reveal is a promising start, and it’s great to have another co-op game on the horizon.
