For those willing to put in the time, the Microsoft Rewards system is a lucrative way for Xbox gamers to turn playing games into gift cards and other prizes. SomeXbox Game Pass Queststasks are as easy as installing and starting a game as is the case with a currentGang Beastsquest, while others, likeSlay the Spire’s “Slay 21 Enemies” quest, take a bit more time investment. Even the fastestXbox Game Pass Questsaren’t worth the time when the system fails to track them, however.

In positive news, it seems like Microsoft has already finished its fix for the issues. On Wednesday, Microsoft posted on Twitter that its teams were investigating the issue, askingXbox Game Pass Questsusers to keep updated via the company’s support website. That support website now lists the Microsoft Rewards system as “Up and Running” with no ongoing issues. Microsoft, at the very least, believes the problem to have been dealt with.
Xbox Game Pass Quest players have already started seeing the fix in motion, too. Users who completed the broken quests, but never received their rewards, are saying that the rewards are now available to claim in their accounts. There were some concerns from the UK that the fix hadn’t rolled out to them yet, but that seems to be solved. There are, however, some users who say they haven’t gotten credit even now. Others recommending a full reboot of theXbox console, though that may or may not help.
It’s odd to consider, but a system like Microsoft Rewards going down has the potential to impact hundreds if not thousands of Xbox Game Pass gamers who rely on the service. That is to say, they use Microsoft Rewards to earn enough points to help pay for Game Pass orXbox Live Gold. Without it, they may not otherwise be able to afford it.
Regardless, it’s reassuring that Microsoft took the issue seriously and dealt with the Xbox Game Pass Quests bug quickly. There will hopefully be noXbox gamersleft who didn’t get the rewards they deserved soon, and hopefully no more issues withXbox Game Pass Questsin the future.
