Twitch streamer AaroneousGaming has been on a mission to get to max level in theKingdom Heartsgames without leaving the starting the area. He calls the challenge the Early Game Grind, and in the past, he’s managed toreach level 100 on Destiny Islands in the firstKingdom Hearts, and level 99 as Roxas inKingdom Hearts 2’s Twilight Town area. Now AaroneousGaming has tackled the most recent game in theKingdom Heartsseries,Kingdom Hearts 3, reaching the level 99 cap without leaving the first world.

Thefirst world inKingdom Hearts 3is Olympus, based on Disney’sHerculesanimated film. Unlike the starting worlds for the first twoKingdom Heartsgames, there is actually a lot for AaroneousGaming to do in Olympus, and so the grind wasn’t quite as dull this time around. There’s a wide variety of enemies to fight, special moves that Sora obtains early on, and even a boss fight to cap the whole thing off. However, players have to revisit Olympus after completing it the first time to explore most of its extra content, like finding the Lucky Emblems and opening all of the treasure chests.

Even though there are more enemies to fight in the firstKingdom Hearts 3world than there is, say, Destiny Islands inKingdom Hearts, it still took AaroneousGaming a significant chunk of time to reach level 99 in Olympus. In total, it took over 284 hours before he was finally done, and the moment literally brought him to tears live on Twitch.

Now that AaroneousGaming has reached his goal of hitting the level cap inKingdom Hearts,Kingdom Hearts 2, andKingdom Hearts 3without leaving the first world, it’s unclear what’s next for his Twitch channel. Perhaps he will take a break from theKingdom Heartsfranchise and come up with some other ridiculous feat for another video game franchise. Or maybe he will find a new way to challenge himself and entertain his viewers with theKingdom Heartsgames.

And when theinevitableKingdom Hearts 4comes out, maybe we will see him return to this challenge yet again. Fans will just have to stay tuned.

Kingdom Hearts 3is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
