December has beenloaded with big announcements, and it was only going to get better with the Jump Festa 2023. The highly anticipated second season ofJujutsu Kaisenjoined the show to reveal the release date window. The news came from Junya Enoki, Yuichi Nakamura, and Nobunaga Shimazaki, the voice actors of Yuji Itadori, Satoru Gojo and Mahito.
The first season of theJujutsu Kaisenanime, like the manga, was an instant massive hit. The story of Yuji Itadori aired from October 2020 to March 2021. This year the fans had a chance to see the movieJujutsu Kaisen 0, an the adaption of the manga of the same name that serves as a prequel to the main story. The movie premiered first in Japan during 2021 Christmas and in March for the rest of the world, and it becameone of the most successful anime box officeperformances in recent history.

An exact date hasn’t been revealed yet, but it is confirmed that the window for the release ofJujutsu KaisenSeason 2 is July 2023. It will air continuously for half a year, until the end of 2023, and cover two entire Arcs of the manga, the Hidden Inventory Premature Death Arc, and the Shibuya Incident Arc. As shown in the 1-minute teaser, it will go deeper intoSatoru Gojo and Suguru Geto as studentsand their relationship, something that was already a subject inJujutsu Kaisen 0. All the main cast will return and MAPPA is also working on the animation again, some of the various aspects that excelled in the first 24-episode season.
TheJujutsu Kaisenmangacreated by Genge Akutami started its run in 2018 and is ongoing. A letter by Akutami read by Nobunaga Shimazaki during the Jump Festa event hinted at something ending in the next year, which could be an arc of the manga, the manga itself, or something completely different.
The series published by Shueisha and Viz Media in the English version is already one of the top sellers of all time with over 70 million copies in circulation. Regarding the anime adaptation, both the film and Season 1 are available to watch on Crunchyroll, where it will also simulcast the next season.
