ThePlayStation Plus December 2022 line-upwas recently announced with theMass Effect Legendary Editionleading the charge. The sprawling RPG from Bioware certainly grabbed the attention of PS Plus fans as it includes all three of the main games in one package, effectively giving players five games instead of the usual three. As a result of this announcement, the other two games,BiomutantandDKO: Devine Knockoutunderstandably garnered less attention.

Sony has repeatedly confirmed that thePlayStation Plus offering will not have many day-one releases, however, the number of titles being offered by the Japanese giant seems to be growing. Indie games such asBugsnax,Oddworld Soulstorm, and the hugely popular cat adventureStrayhave all found huge followings since being released as part of the PS Plus service.

It must be noted that the day-one appearance of Divine Knockout on PS Plus is not a sign that Sony is changing its approach to its subscription service. The games offered do not come from first-party studios, soplayers shouldn’t expectMarvel’s Spider-Man 2in their Plus subscriptionwhen it releases. Although, havingDKO: Devine Knockoutas one of the monthly games would suggest that Sony is being more aggressive with having more included games.

Devine Knockoutitself is a cartoon brawler in a similar vein asMultiversus, with gods from across multiple mythologies replacing the Warner Discovery stable of characters. These deities will duke it out for total world dominance, although, unlikeWarner Bros’ struggling free-to-playMultiversus, the action will be set in three dimensions instead of the traditional 2D, left-to-right platform.

DKO: Devine Knockoutreleases as part of the PlayStation Plus line-up, and across PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on December 6.
