Pokemon GOis celebrating the New Year with some party-ready Pokemon. Players can grab some party-hat-wearing Pokemon that are celebrating 2020 in style. They will appear between January 2 and 16 for the Adventure Sync Hatchathon. One of the Pokemon that players can snag is Party Hat Wurmple.

Party Hat Wurmple
Party Hat Wurmple has been on everyone’s mind since it made an appearance on the loading screen from January 2018, his comically oversized hat making him an instant meme. People have been asking Niantic for some hat-wearing friends since then, filling Etsy shops with pins and t-shirts with the adorable worm Pokemon wearing his too-big hat. Party Hat Wurmple’s fans even hosted a petition on Change.org to attempt to get it added to the game. And they finally got what they’ve been asking for; it’s almost as good as theTeam Rocket Disruption eventfrom 2019.
How to Get One
Lucky forPokemon GOfans, there are also hat-wearing Raticates and Wobbuffets to get as well. Players can grab any of these Party Hat Pokemon by raiding, catching them in the wild, or hatching eggs. There is a pretty small chance of battling or hatching one unfortunately, which means players will really have to work hard to get chances to catch ‘em all.
There are alsohat-wearing Pikachu, Pichu, and Raichu, but they can only be hatched as Pichu and evolved. Players can snatch double the Candy and Stardust with each hatching for the Adventure Sync Hatchathon this week though. Since players can get Wurmple and the others from eggs as well, hatching eggs seems to be the way to go. So make sure to hatch as many eggs as possible this week.
