With the release ofThe Indigo DiskinPokemon Scarlet&Violet, new Pokemon have made their debut in the Paldea region. Dewpider is an adorable arachnid standing at .3 meters or 1 inch tall. This Pokemon may be easy to miss in the vast space of the DLC’s Terarium. It’s a Water/Bug Pokemon that can evolve into Araquanid. Both Pokemon were first introduced in the seventh generation ofPokemon in the 3DS games:Sun&Moon. Dewpider also has an exclusive ability, Water Bubble, which makes this Pokemon a great asset in competitive play. The ability weakens the damage done by fire-type moves that hit Dewpider and Araquanid and prevents them from being burned.

Where To Find Dewpider in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Dewpider can be found very easily throughout the Coastal and Savannah Biomes. They will be roaming about, are not particularly aggressive, and won’t chase you to start a wild battle. Mass outbreaks can bring the number of Dewpider and Araquanid in the area to astronomical levels, so look out for those.

Starting a picnic and eating a sandwichto boost either bug power or water power can increase the spawn rates of Dewpider and Araquanid. Starting a picnic is not the only way to boost their spawn rates because different vendors may sell meals with those attributes across Paldea, Kitakami, andBlueberry Academy.

Dewpider Habitat

Boosting the spawn rates for water and bug Pokemon in the area won’t exclusively bring Dewpider and Araquanid to the area and could attract other species of Pokemon with the same typing. So, moving to an area that doesn’t have Pokemon with those overlapping types is recommended.

How To Evolve Dewpider in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
