A major aspect of the game arethe four schoolhousesthat players get to choose from and be a part of. The most popular of these houses is of course the House of Gryffindor, home to the boy who lived and his quirky friends, as well as many other powerful wizards in the franchise. InHogwarts Legacyplayers can roam in one of the four common rooms, each of which emanates a unique aura. Here are some of the things players might have missed in Gryffindor’s common room.
5Banner With All Four Houses
Each of the common rooms in the game’s setting has banners specific to their houses which reflect their core themes. Gryffindor, which is inspired by the element of Fire, has red banners with a golden lion. The Earth House Hufflepuff is represented by a badger on its banners, while Ravenclaw, which represents the element of air has an eagle on its banners Lastly House Slytherin, which represents the element of water, have banners with a snake on them.
While each of the common rooms has its distinct house banners, Gryffindor’s common room is the only one to havea banner that represents all four houses. This may seem like an odd choice, but it also highlights the friendly nature of the members of House Gryffindor.
4No Portrait of Godric Gryffindor
The school of Hogwarts was founded byfour powerful wizards and witches, known as the Hogwarts Four. Each House’s common room inHogwarts Legacyhas a portrait of their founders boldly displayed, except for House Gryffindor. The Hufflepuff common room has a picture of Helga Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw has one of Rowena Ravenclaw, and Slytherin has a portrait of Salazar Slytherin, but there is no portrait to be found of Godric Gryffindor in the common room of Gryffindor.

This is quite strange as the Gryffindor’s room is riddled with portraits of other wizards and witches belonging to the House. It also imparts a sense of incompleteness when you enter the room, as compared to the other common rooms. However, Gryffindor’s common room as a whole is more than enough tosatisfy long-time fans of the franchise, with tons of details and aesthetics.
3The Stained-Glass Windows
Gryffindor’s common room has three beautiful stained-glass windows which fill it with light and create a sense of warmth in the room. The left window has a painting of a Quidditch player on it, a game in which House Gryffindor takes pride, while the right window showcases a beautiful image of Hogwarts itself.
The middle window is the most interesting one as it has a big G-shaped symbol on it, representing the word Gryffindor, and below it is a Latin phrase Forti (strong) Animo (courage) Estote(to be), which potentially means be strong and courageous. These words are the essence of House Gryffindor, as evidenced bythe achievements of many studentsfrom this house that came before.
2Demiguise on the Tapestry
A Demiguise is a magical creature within theHarry Potteruniverse. It is a peaceful and herbivorous beast that has the ability to see into the future, which makes it incredibly hard to capture. On top of that it can also turn invisible, which is why it is very rare to encounter a Demiguise. This creature is quite small, and its body is covered in gray fur. The existence of a Demiguise has been mentioned in quite a fewHarry Potterfilms, while the creature made actual appearances in theFantastic Beastsfilms.

In Hogwarts Legacy, the common room of House Gryffindor hides a small painting of a Demiguise that can be hard to spot. It can be found behindthe left silver guard statuein front of the entrance from the inner side.
1The Chudley Cannons
In the Gryffindor common room, players will notice a big notice board on their way to the large staircase that has lots of notes on it. The thing that stands out about the board is that it has a poster of the Chudley Cannons. The Chudley Cannons were a famous English Quidditch team that participated in the Quidditch League multiple times, winning the championship title twenty-one times, with their last victory being in 1892.
The poster also has the number twenty-one placed at the bottom left, seemingly hinting at the total victories of the Chudley Cannons. Ron Weasely would go on to become a fan of this team, however by that point in time the glory days of the Chudley Cannons would have already been over.
