The firstHarry Pottertitle from Portkey Games,Hogwarts Mysteryis still going strong on mobile devices, with developer Jam City continuously releasing new content for fans to enjoy. Next up is theHogwarts MysteryHalloween 2020 event, which is live now in the game.
AnyHarry Potter: Hogwarts Mysteryplayers that want to participate in the Halloween 2020 event will have had to reach at least Year 2 Chapter 3 in the story to do so. Assuming they’re far enough in the game, they should be able to participate in the special Halloween storyline, which sees fan favorite ghost character Nearly Headless Nick hosting a party. Unfortunately for Nick, a famous ghost named Erling the Great has shown up at Hogwarts and plans on hosting a party of his own that threatens to steal all the attention away from Nick’s.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mysteryplayers won’t just have Nearly Headless Nick and Erling the Great to interact with, however. A variety of Hogwarts ghosts will be making appearances as well, perhaps most notably Moaning Myrtle.Hogwarts Mysteryplayers will need to convince Moaning Myrtle to attend Nick’s party as one of the other main objectives of the event. As far asHogwarts ghostsgo, Moaning Myrtle is one of the most significant in the franchise’s lore, having played a major role in bothHarry Potter and the Chamber of SecretsandGoblet of Fire.
Besides having new Halloween-themed limited-time quests to complete,Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mysteryplayers will also have the opportunity to add a slew of Halloween-themed cosmetics to their wardrobe. Of course, doing so will likely require players to fork over some real world cash forHogwarts Mystery’s microtransactions, but the new threads may very well be worth the price of admission for longtime fans of the game.
Looking ahead,Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mysteryfans should have plenty of new content to look forward to in the near future. A Christmas event is likely to take place in December, and it’s possible that there will be other limited-time events between now and then as well. Most recently,Hogwarts Mysteryhosted a Romance Festival event, which added yet another limited-time side quests for fans of the game to complete.
