For the unaware, GOG is a digital distributor of games created by Polish company CD Projekt ofTheWitcherfameandCyberpunk 2077infamy. Unlike other storefronts like Steam, GOG is committed to selling games free of digital rights management, or DRM. The distribution platform has a “you buy it, you own it” philosophy, and regularly hosts sales on everything from CD Projekt’s ownWitcherseries to newly released titles.

Leading the GOG Spring Sale is Avalanche Studios’Mad Max, arriving on the platform for $4.99, a 75% discount. The sale announcement also highlights two indie games;Raji: An Ancient Epicfrom Nodding Heads Gamesis 50% off, andTravellers Restfrom Isolated Games is 20% off. The entire Spring Sale puts over 3,000 games on sale, fromBatman: Arkham Knight Premium Edition(75% off) toThe Outer Worlds(50% off) toDivinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition(60% off).
GOG has also prepared some game collections to help players to navigate through the Spring Sale. These include lists like the “RPG Collection,” which features games likeBaldur’s Gate II, and “Deepest Discounts,” which has games likeXCOM 2that are discounted over 90%. Plus, GOG curated the “Soon to Bloom” collection, which features over 20 demo versions for upcoming games. There are numerousgreat indie games coming out in 2021, and these demos will be great for gamers looking for new indie titles to try, and maybe even add to their wishlists.
Of course, no GOG sale would be complete without discounts forCD Projekt Red’s own games.
