Ghosts Season 4, Episode 19 Finally Solves Donna’s Cold Case

Pete’s Ghost Girlfriend Finally Returned In Ghosts Season 4 Episode 19

Pete learned that he could leave the boundaries of the Woodstone Mansion in season 3 and, shortly afterward, he began dating Donna. A ghost who lived in the Caribbean, Donna seemed like a perfect love interest for the placid, amiable Pete. Pete was so enamored with her that a jealous Isaac ended up leaving his fiancée, Nigel, at the altar, since he wanted the sort of passionate love Pete claimed to share with Donna. This made the ending of season 4, episode 4, “The Work Retreat,” unexpectedly tragic.

Donna’s existence was unceremoniously forgotten for most of season 4, even though it was her relationship with Pete that led Isaac to leave Nigel.

Pete learned that Donna supposedly murdered her husband in “The Work Retreat”when her case appeared on an episode of a true-crime series that the ghosts were watching. AsTrevor contacted his daughterin “Pinkus Returns,” Pete had a subplot where he shamefacedly admitted that he effectively ghosted Donna after learning of these allegations. Although Pete has used his powers for good throughout season 4, he had not yet gotten around to visiting Donna and breaking up with her. When he finally did, she told him she was framed for her husband’s murder and Pete decided to play detective and solve the case. Pete’s revelation of Donna’s innocence highlighted his ghost power once again as he visited the house of her former neighbor Richard, who claimed to have seen Donna do the deed. Pete’s investigation madeGhosts’ best bromance even better as Jay was the one who accidentally solved the case.

Are Pete & Donna Back Together In Ghosts?

Pete Began Dating Donna In Late Season 3

Thanks to their shared love of ’80s pop culture trivia, Pete and Jay were able to discern that Richard’s neighbor was lying. He claimed to have witnessed the murder as a ghost, unable to intervene, but the Prince album he was listening to was released after the death of Donna’s husband. WhileGhostsseason 4’s Nigel replacement Joandidn’t appear in “Pinkus Returns,” the sitcom indirectly justified Isaac’s breakup by confirming that Donna was innocent after all.

Linda was arrested as Sam and Pete debated whether they should start solving more crimes.

Donna and Pete seemingly got back together as a couplewhen Pete got Sam and Jay to anonymously report the real culprit, Richard’s wife Linda. Linda was arrested as Sam and Pete debated whether they should start solving more crimes, eventually deciding that dealing with the ghosts took up too much of Sam’s time for this to be a possibility.

Can Donna Return In Ghosts Season 4?

Donna Is Unlikely To Come Back Before Ghosts Season 4’s Finale

Although “Pinkus Returns” didn’t explicitly confirm that Donna and Pete are back together, their future seemed bright as the episode came to a close. That said, viewers should not necessarily expect to see Donna again before season 4 ends. WhileSass’sGhostsseason 4 love interestis almost certain to make a comeback as their story remains unfinished,Donna has no real reason to return beforeGhostsseason 4 ends. Her name was cleared thanks to Pete, the pair have no reason to break up anymore, and she can’t leave her home in the Caribbean.

Moreover, as outlined above, the sitcom doesn’t have sufficient screen time to give all its supporting characters another cameo before its finale. Joan must come back to complete Sass’s story, Jay’s sister Bela should put in another appearance for the ongoing restaurant subplot, and even Trevor’s daughter could visit again to get more closure after her recent discoveries. In contrast,Ghostsseason 4, episode 19 finally closed Pete and Donna’s case, so there is no need to rush her return.
