Ivan Reitman, Director, and his son Jason opened the call, followed shortly after by Annie Potts, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroid, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver.  They were clearly enjoying themselves as they recalled all the hard work they put into the creation ofGhostbusters, whichhas since inspired many video games. “It was a hard movie to make,” said Bill.

Turns out, the movie is full of improvised moments. Sigourney laughed as she described a moment with Bill Murray while she was preparing for the monsters in the refrigerator scene. “You can’t do comedy if you prepare,” she said.

They also brought upthe next movie,Ghostbusters Afterlife. The movie was originally slated to be released July 10th, butwill be delayed, which is a good thing. “We have a little bit more time,” Jason said.

Midway through the call, William Atherton who played the suspicious EPA inspector Walter Peck, surprised the cast with his presence. Then cameGhostbusterssuperfan Kumail Nanjiani, who recounted falling in love with the movie, and quizzed the actors on their own lines. The guests just kept coming, and they wrapped up by singing theGhostbusterstheme song with songwriter Ray Parker Jr.

Josh’s zoom calls are a great outlet for both fans and film makers who are stuck in quarantine, andcharitable donations are just the marshmallow on top.
