Gachiakutais easily one of the most iconicshonenmanga to come out in recent years. At the time of writing, the latest news abouttheGachiakutaanimeremains that the series is set to roll out a “World Takeover” event following its premiere.Gachiakuta’s “World Takeover” event will have a multitude of events happening periodically around the world; for now, the series will have an early premiere at Anime Expo 2025, and fans can go to theGachiakutawebsite to have their names written in the story’s iconic graffiti for a downloadable wallpaper, but larger-scale events are set to be announced later in the year.
Gachiakuta’s Production Explained
Gachiakutais produced by Bones Film and will premiere on Sunday, July 6as part ofCrunchyroll’s summer 2025 anime lineup, although the exact premiere time has yet to be confirmed. The series will be directed by Fumihiko Suganuma at Bones Film’s “A” studio, the team responsible for shows likeGosick,Noragami, andCarole & Tuesday, and it’s rumored to be running for 24 consecutive episodes.

In Bones Film’sGachiakuta, after being accused of murdering his father, the young orphan Rudo is cast out from the floating paradise of the Sphere and banished to a trash-infested wasteland known as the Pit. There, Rudo discovers that he’s a Giver, someone who can imbue a treasured object with supernatural abilities, and from there,Rudo swears to use his powers to get back to the Sphere and exact revenge against everyone who wronged him.
Gachiakuta’s promotional material does nothing to hide the basic story, so the bigger question is how much of the story will be adapted. With a rumored episode count of 24 episodes, then with the right pacing, the series could adapt about 8-10 volumes. Taking what happens in the manga into account,the ideal place forGachiakutato end its first season would be with the end of the first major fight with the Raiders in chapter #81, but it won’t be until the show is in full swing that fans can get an idea of where it might end.

In the lead-up toGachiakuta’s premiere, numerous teasers and trailers for the anime have come out until the main trailer was finally released a few weeks ago.Gachiakuta’s main trailergives the best look at the revenge-based story and the anime’s unique power system of Vital Instruments, in addition to the all-around gorgeous artwork and animation. In addition, it’s also confirmed that the opening and ending theme songs will be “HUGs” by Paledusk and “Tomoshibi” by DUSTCELL, respectively, and while only the former has been teased, it nonetheless sounds great to listen to.
The Music Of Gachiakuta Explained
Gachiakuta’s soundtrack will be composed by Taku Iwasaki, best known for his work onBungo Stray Dogs,Shin Kamen Rider,JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency, andTengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.Taku Iwasaki’s tendency for rap and punk-infused soundtracks perfectly match the punk aesthetic ofGachiakuta, something that can be felt in the teasers, so overall, he was an ideal choice to compose the soundtrack, and his work will likely play a big part in makingGachiakutaa success.
As previously stated, the opening and ending themes will be performed by Paledusk and DUSTCELL, and both capture the essence ofGachiakuta’s story in different ways. Paledusk is a famous heavy metal act in Japan, so there’s obvious synergy there, but when interviewed about their song,the members of Paledusk said that “HUGs” represented Paledusk more than any other song and that it was meant to capture Rudo’s senselessness and despair, so there’s far more going on with it than it just being another heavy metal track.
As for DUSTCELL, they’re more of a traditional music act, but that doesn’t make them any less fitting forGachiakuta. DUSTCELL is known for the emotional resonance of their music and lyrics, and that’s going to be on full display inGachiakuta, as according to them,“Tomoshibi” will be a song that captures Rudo’s purity and struggle to survive as he faces injustice on the Sphere and in the Pit. It’s another set of comments that perfectly captures the essence ofGachiakuta, and it says a lot about how great the series will be.

Who’s Voicing Whom In Gachiakuta
At the time of writing, only a handful ofGachiakuta’s cast has been confirmed. For the main characters,Aoi Ichikawa voices Rudo, Katsuyuki Konishi voices Enjin, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka voices Zanka, and Yumiri Hanamori voices Riyo, with Toshiyuki Morikawa also set to voice Regto and Yuki Shin set to voice Jabber. In English, those characters will be voiced by Bryson Baugus, Christopher Wehkamp, Corey Wilder, Katie Caruso, John Burgmeier, and Zeno Robinson, respectively.
The Best Place To Watch The Gachiakuta Anime
Naturally, withGachiakuta’s release date only about a week away at the time of writing, there’s little left to ponder about its release schedule.Gachiakutawill begin streaming Sunday, July 6 on Crunchyroll, but as previously stated, the exact time for its premiere has yet to be disclosed. With the premiere so close, though, it shouldn’t be long before it’s made public, and once the show has its proper premiere, it hopefully won’t take long beforeGachiakutabecomes an even bigger hit and makes its name as one of the best new-gen anime a person can watch.
