With fans highly anticipating an announcement by developer FromSoftware at The Game Awards, many expectations have been shattered as the company has announced the development ofArmored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon. A relatively more niche series from the developer, anArmored Coreannouncement might not be theElden RingDLC confirmationthat some fans were expecting, but it is still a great surprise for fans.
The announcement ofArmored Core 6came towards the end of The Game Awards, right before the eventual reveal thatFromSoftwarewould once again walk away with the Game of the Year award. Considering that theArmored Coreseries has had a 10-year break until now, confirmation that a sixth game is finally coming is a huge boon for fans of the classic titles that reach all the way back to the PlayStation One era.

This new reveal trailer opens in classic FromSoftware fashion, with beautiful cinematic shots that don’t give away too much of the story going forward withArmored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon. However, while the trailer doesn’t delve too deep into the story, it does show plenty of shots of the impressive mechs that players will be tasked with controlling and destroying at the same time. At the same time, the reveal doesn’t exactly show much gameplay outside of the different designs that players might be able to use while playing thenextArmored Coretitle.
