It originally released in 2005 to a lot of fanfare, quickly becoming a beloved video game classic, before Bluepoint was tasked with remaking the game with state of the art graphics for a 2018 release. The remake was showered with praise from both critics and players alike, with the title now sitting at an extraordinary 91 on Metacritic. It’s undeniably a sensational title for PS Plus members to receive for free, especially as those who haven’t played the PlayStation 2 classic can finally experience it for no additional cost.
On the other hand,Sonic Forcesis the most recent game in theSonic the Hedgehogfranchise, and will no doubt appeal to a lot of fans who have just watched the video game icon’s popular big-screen adaptation that hit cinemas earlier this month. While reactions to the game were mixed, it allowed for players to create their own Sonic character and join the blue blur on a quest to stop a brand-new villain. While there are better Sonic games out there,Forceswill no doubt draw in a new crowd now its available for free.
While PS Plus has gotten some complaints before about the lackluster nature of the games it offers, this coming month provides two of the strongest titles Sony has offered recently.Shadow of the Colossusspecifically has seemed to appease fans, who have been commenting their excitement about the decision on PlayStation’s Twitter announcement.
