Summary

Most players weren’t happy with the recent UI changes that Epic Games implemented to the locker tab inFortnite, but it seems it is working on a way to improve this recently modified version of the locker. When Chapter 4 ended,Fortnitehad a one-month break thanks to the release of Season OG, but it continued with its regular chapter count right after. However, players knew they were in for big changes right away, as when the Big Bang live event was announced, Epic Games hyped up Chapter 5 as a new beginning forFortnite, and so it was.

Several new game modes were added toFortniteshortly after Chapter 5 Season 1 started, and it appears they are here to stay.LEGO Fortnite,Rocket Racing, andFortnite Festivalare allpermanent additions toFortnite, and they will receive just as much attention from the developers as other modes, such as Zero Build and Creative. These modes brought quite a few items and cosmetic types to the game, so Epic Games had no other choice but to modify the locker to keep it organized once these new item types were added.

Many fans weren’t happy when they entered the game after the update and noticed thechanges made to theFortnitelocker UI. The tabs added for the recently added game modes disrupted some of the order that players were used to by now, but that was not the worst part. Before, gamers could easily search through the cosmetic items' lists and identify the items they were looking for, but this became impossible when cosmetic item rarity backgrounds were completely removed. Legendary skins no longer had a yellow background, Epic skins no longer had a purple background, and so on. Epic Games has confirmed that it’s paid close attention to fans' feedback, and it will be applying further changes in upcoming updates.

In a recent patch, special rarity backgrounds, such as Lava andIcon Series skins, got their series background back, but that was still not the case for other rarities. Players can still use filters in order to make it easier for themselves to relocate their favorite cosmetics, but for now, they won’t be able to find a skin within its rarity group as easily.

Even thoughFortniteleft early access in 2020, it is an ever-evolving game. While it’s active, it will continue to receive constant updates so that it can keep improving in order to make fans as satisfied as possible.
