FortniteSeason 8 just launched, but the leaks have already begun, with new skins, pickaxes, back bling, gliders, and emotes found in the game files. What’s more is that the Season 8 Week 2 challenges have also leaked, giving players their first glimpse at the free and Battle Pass challenges that could go live on August 10, 2025. It’s worth mentioning that with nearly a week to go before launch, these weekly challenges could easily be changed by Epic Games.
For the most part, these challenges follow simple patterns established in previous seasons. The leaked free challenges require players to deal X damage to Supply Drops as they fall, deal X damage with Pirate Cannons (presumably with eithercannonballs or other players), and earn X eliminations at Salty Springs or Haunted Hills.
The leaked Battle Pass challenges, which many may have access to as result of the Season 7 Overtime challenges, require players to search chests in X different named locations, a staged challenge necessitating heals from Apples and Med Kits, and a landing challenge. TheFortnitelocations required are The Block, Dusty Divot, Polar Peak, Snobby Shores, and Paradise Palms.
It isn’t uncommon to see a landing challenge just after major map changes, as landing at the above locations will spread players across theFortnitemap, instead of having everyone exploring the new named locations,Lazy Lagoon and Sunny Steps. The last Battle Pass challenge is unique, as it requires players to visit the furthest North, South, East, and West points of the Battle Island.
Completing these will likely giveFortniteSeason 8 players a chance to pick up a new hidden banner, unless the rotating pattern established back in Season 6 changes. This also means players may want to finish up theSeason 8 Week 1 challengesand collect their hidden battle star first, but provided nothing changes, players can also be prepared for next week as a result of this leak.
Fortniteis out now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
