Several days ago, Epic Games confirmed thatit banned “thousands” of cheatersinFortnite’s Battle Royale game mode, and that it has plans to roll out even more anti-cheat tools in the future. Despite the rampant use of exploits by some of the user base’s morally dubious fans, the popular free-to-play mode continues to grow, as the developer has now announced that Battle Royale has surpassed more than 10 million players in just two weeks' time.

As seen in the infographic attached to the tweet below, Epic Games and People Can Fly decided to not only announce the player milestone thatFortnitehas hit, but also figured that fans could use some additional statistics about the game’s free-to-play PvP companion mode. For starters, 44.9 million cumulative hours have been spent playing Battle Royale, and during this time, 58.9 million traps have been found, while over 797 million stairs, walls, ceilings, and floors have been built, and 292.7 million jumps from the battle bus have been taken.

For those unaware, Epic Games and People Can Fly revealed just a week ago thatFortnite’s Battle Royale mode had garneredupwards of 7 million players, and went on to offer bonuses to fans to celebrate the accomplishment. With this being the case, considering the most recent figures released for the game, it means that the mode has seen growth of more than 3 million users joining in on the free-to-play mode’s action since then.

Taking all of this into account, it will be interesting to see if this positive turn of events forFortnite’s Battle Royale mode will causePlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds' developer Bluehole Studios to actually follow through on its warning that it is “contemplating further action” against the Epic Games title for “replicating the experience for whichPUBGis known.” Of course, considering the fact thatPUBG’ssales recently hit 15 million, it looks as if Battle Royale inFortniteisn’t necessarily horning in on the Bluehole Studio’s business.

Fortniteis available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
