ForFortniteSeason 7, developer Epic Games has seen fit to introduce a new game mode known asFortniteCreative.Although it was revealed a few days prior to the launch of season 7, thanks to the patch notes for update v7.00, more has been revealed as to how the new mode will work.
FortniteCreative in early release, soFortniteplayers could experience any number of issues with this latest mode. It is worth mentioning that season 7 Battle Pass owners will get access first, but all players will gain access on July 09, 2025. Still, it is likely to be popular, as the Creative Hub gives players their own island. In fact, all players will start with 4 islands for different creations and have the ability to invite friends to their server, with a given server active for up to 4 hours at a time.
Island owners will be able to set edit and build permissions as well, with the My Island menu accessible through the main menu while on the island. ThisFortnitemode gives players a phone that will be the primary tool to edit, copy, and manipulate props and devices throughout the island. Players will also have the ability to fly across the island for quick edits and changes.
TheFortniteCreative Inventory allows players to spawn everything from prefabs and devices to weapon and consumables. Prefabs are pre-made structures that are essentially throwables, and Devices help players create games. This inventory will also allow players to create chests and llamas for the island.
Prefabs include 8 obstacle courses, 25 buildings from theFortnite Battle Royalemode, and 34 galleries of tiles and props. Devices include items such as an ice block, damage rails, speed boosts, timers, scoreboard, player spawns, and a number of familiar battle royale traps.
All in all, hopefully this newFortnitefeature proves to be as popular as thePlayground mode, and the bugs remain at a minimum. While some comparisons toMinecraftare inevitable, it is quality-of-life improvements like this that makesFortnitea stand-out in the gaming industry.
Fortniteis available now for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
