Netflix’sFear Street: Prom Queenfeatures a large cast of up-and-coming actors who prove themselves in the horror flick, plus a few established names. Based on the R.L. Stine young adult books, theFear Street trilogycame out in 2021, with each movie releasing one week apart. Four years later, fans can enjoy a new standalone installation to the film franchise –Fear Street: Prom Queen.
The 2025 movie follows an underdog student named Lori who decides to run for Shadyside High School’s 1988 prom queen. However, things quickly go bad when a masked murderer dressed in a red raincoat, who I’ve taken to calling the Prom Killer, starts eliminating the prom queen candidates. Thisentertaining slasher movieis sure to thrill fans of the original trilogy, introducing viewers to a new group of actors and characters. Impressively,the cast is made up almost entirely of up-and-coming actors, only adding a few well-known faces.
