FBC: Firebreak Roadmap Reveals New Content Coming Throughout 2025
And Possibly Into 2026
TheFBC: Firebreakroadmap reveals two major updates coming to the game. The first will be in the fall this year, with the second coming in the winter, though the open-ended dates on the roadmap indicate the latter might come after the new year. The first major update, coming toFBC: Firebreakin fall 2025 brings a new job, code-named “Outbreak,“alongside a new job site, the Oldest House’s Research Sector. The new gameplay systems, enemies, and free rewards remain unclear; the new paid content, aka Classified Requisition, includes “unique armor sets, sprays, skins, and character voice packs.”
The winter update’s new job is code-named “Blackout,“but its new job site, equipment, enemies, and free rewards remain unspecified. The winter update’s Classified Requisition will feature the same item types as those in the fall update. It would appear that all gameplay content outside the Classified Requisition will be available to all players at no extra charge. Neither update currently has a more specific timeframe for when it might release.
Launching On Game Pass & PS Plus Will Give FBC: Firebreak A Huge Boost
Remedy’s First Multiplayer Game
FBC: Firebreaklooks like a blast, but it’s probably a smart move on Remedy’s part to release itday one on Game Passand PlayStation Plus.Live-service games are tough to get off the ground, andFirebreakbecoming so widely available via subscription services will ensure it gets a lot of players trying it out early. The promise of future content with the roadmap will also encourage players to stick around, or at least return to the game regularly when interesting new content arrives.
Theevil sticky note and deadly piggy bank-laden FPSis Remedy’s first multiplayer venture, and a new frontier into self-publishing as well. The studio has become known for its exceptionally atmospheric single-player games, soFirebreak’s potential merits are still up in the air, though it’s promising to see resources are already dedicated to supporting it post-launch.FBC: Firebreakis sure to draw some major attention as a day-one release on Game Pass and PS Plus on June 17.
