Samantha added that everything can seemingly go very right: great chemistry, there’s an attraction to each other. Unfortunately, things started to crop up that weren’t “aligning to what you want in a husband,” anddespite her thinking John’s a great person, she realized that he wasn’t what she was looking for. “There’s something that’s just not there for me,” she explained.

Samantha then posed a question to her followers, asking them what they would do in this situation. She asked, “Would you string him along and keep him entertaining you and waste his time and potentially keep him from meeting the love of his life? No, you wouldn’t.” The former contestant went on to say thatthe better way to handle the situation is to be upfront with the man and say it’s not going to work out.

Just because John is attractive and has a great personality and a lot of other fantastic characteristics, it doesn’t mean she needed to keep vying for his heart when she wasn’t feeling it.She drove the point home that it can be easy to get caught up in the fantasy of those early datesand think this is how the relationship is going to be forever. She refused to compromise her standards. “Some of those things they do in the beginning to try to get you start to falter once they have you,” Samantha concluded.
