Bethesda Studios has several games out for the Nintendo Switch at this point:Skyrim,Doom, and nowWolfenstein 2. The next logical step would be to bringFallout 4to the popular Nintendo portable console. According to an interview with Gamereactor, Bethesda has an interest in putting the popular post-apocalyptic game on the Switch when the time is right.

In the interview, Todd Howard told Gamereactor that while a Switch port is not currently being explored, there is definitely an interest within the company to bringFallout 4to Switch. With three huge Bethesda games on the platform already, it would not be without precedent to bring the hit game to Nintendo’s console.

Bethesda recently releasedFallout Shelterfor Switch, so technicallyFallout 4wouldn’t be the onlyFallouttitle on the platform, though it would be the first major installment. Fans were anticipating thatFallout 4may be thenext big portcoming from the company, due to a recent interview the developers did with Variety. It seems that unfortunately, that may not be the case.

Also as part of the interview, Todd Howard did say that they are planning on working with Nintendo for future games they put out, so Elder Scrolls fans may seeElder Scrolls VIon the Switch, but we wouldn’t count on that. They could also bringDoom EternalandRage 2to the console in the future, thoughRage 2is only confirmed for PC, PS4, and Xbox One at the moment.

Clearly Bethesda is currently focused on pushing forward their games that are on the immediate horizon, likeFallout 76. Considering the online nature ofFallout 76and the fact that the game isfour times larger thanFallout 4, the game is taking a lot of manpower to verify launch goes smoothly. In the interview, Todd Howard did speak heavily onFallout 76and how it was progressing in the final stages of development. Hopefully whenFallout 76launches, Bethesda will revisit the notion of bringingFallout 4to Switch.

Fallout 4is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
