Anime fans can rejoice because aFairy TailRPG has just been revealed by Koei Tecmo. The company is bringing Hiro Mashima’s magical manga to life on PC, Playstation 4, and Nintendo Switch with a JRPG adaptation. Even though there have been numerousFairy Tailgames in the past, most of the titles were only available on PSP, Nintendo DS, web browsers, or mobile devices. This is also the first-time aFairy Tailgame is coming to North America and other regions outside Japan.

For those who are not familiar withFairy Tail,it’s a fantasy manga created by Hiro Mashima that follows the adventures of Lucy Heartfilia, Natsu Dragneel, and other members of a guild of magicians calledFairy Tail. The story focuses on the land of Fiore, which is filled with powerful dragons, monsters, and other dark creatures wreaking havoc.

The manga went on for nearly 500 chapters, so only time will tell how much of the story this game will cover. Nonetheless, there is a ton of rich content it could explore, especially with those who are helming theFairy Tailproject.

Gust Studios will be handling the development of the game while Koei Tecmo takes care of the publishing. The developer has made nearly 50 games in theAtelierseries, alongside games likeNights of AzureandBlue Reflectionwhile Koei Tecmo, on the other hand, has published iconic games likeNiohandDynasty Warriors.Hiro Mashima will also be overseeing the development, with it being promised to be a faithful recreation of his world. Because of this,it’s safe to say thatFairy Tailis in extremely experienced hands.

Sadly, so far there are no extra details regarding the game, but the publisher did announce that there will be more details at this year’sTokyo Game Showon September 15 during its Fairy Tail special stage stream. In the meantime, fans can watch the latestFairy Tailreveal trailer to quench their thirst for the game.
