Star Wars Zero Company Tactics

Star Wars Zero Company Will Be An Elite Unit

Teams Will Be A Mix Of Original & Custom Characters

Gameplay forZero Companywill allow you to build teams of experts, which can then be sent out on missions and operations. Anyone who is a fan of theXCOMseries should be very familiar with this format, and I’m excited to see the concept brought toStar Wars. Each battle will be woven in with the narrative, with promises that choices will matter andZero Company’s successes and failures will shape the galaxy as a whole.

Teams will be made up of original characters written forZero Company, as well as custom characters that players will be able to create. This sounds brilliant, meaning no two playthroughs will ever be the same, andevery player will have their own uniqueZero Company. It will be interesting to see how the original characters are woven into the story and if any establishedcharacters from the Clone Wars erawill also appear.

Every Star Wars Zero Company Character So Far

Meet The First Members Of Zero Company

So far, only five characters have been revealed forStar Wars Zero Company, but they already have me intrigued. The first is Hawks, who will be the player character and leader ofZero Company, an elite unit for hire made up of people from very different backgrounds. Described asa disgraced former Republic officer, Hawks is fully customizable and will be in charge of putting together their new team.

Hawks’ appearance, voice, and class are all customizable, with multipleStar Warsraces to choose from, including Twi’lek, Togruta, and Zabrak.

Hawks will be joined by Trick, a clone trooper who has served with Hawks previously. Their clearly damaged armor hides serious injuries that occurred in the same disaster that cost Hawks their promising career.Trick is described as having a laconic wit, something he uses as a defense to hide the deep trauma he’s been through.

One character that I’m really looking forward to meeting is Luco Bronc,an Umbaran sharpshooter who has clear issues with the Republic after their invasion of his world. The invasion of Umbara was seen during a fantastic four-episode arc inThe Clone Wars, and the conflict pushed many clone troopers to their breaking point. I’m especially eager to see how Luca and Trick interact and if the Umbaran marksman will be able to fully put his grievances aside for the greater good.

Another unusual recruit for a Republic-based team is Cly Kullervo, a Mandalorian gunslinger. Described as infamous andone of the last surviving members of Clan Verminoth, an ancient Mandalorian clan never seen before inStar Wars. Cly will be joining Zero Company to help her settle a very personal vendetta. I love Mandalorians, so I’m particularly looking forward to assisting her with that.

Finally, noStar WarsClone Wars Republic team would be complete without a Jedi, andZero Companywill be joined by Tel-Rea Vokoss.Tel-Rea is a Tognath Jedi Padawanwho agrees to help Hawks to finish her fallen master’s final mission. Tognath is not a commonly seen species, and I’ll be interested to learn more about her people and her quest from Tel-Rea.

Team Dynamics In Zero Company Will Be Important For Gameplay

Not Everyone Will Be Friends To Begin With

With such a ragtag group of characters made up from all over the galaxy and different sides of the conflict, it will come as no surprise that squad members won’t always get along at first. However, sending them out on missions together will grow bonds between themand even unlock new combat options for the team. This feels perfect for agame set in the Clone Wars era, andStar Warshas never shied away from showing how complex that war was and the impact it had on the people involved.

The Clone Wars is an ideal setting for a turn-based tactics game, with both sides of the conflict evenly matched to provide a challenge at every level. As the story unfolds and the characters’ backstories are revealed,I’m eager to see some of the more covert operations that the squads can be sent on, where team dynamics will come into play. WithStar Wars Zero Companyhinting at a big emerging threat that is spreading across the galaxy, I look forward to meeting more of the team who will make up my squad.
