The Epic Games Store continues to expand at a rapid pace within the digital marketplace thanks to an aggressive approach taken to growing its library of games. However, Epic Games appears to recognize the need for more service diversity within the store and is working to expand that as well. To that end, Epic Games is now offering several new PC apps via theEpic Games Storeto expand its footprint in the space.
In a post on its official website, Epic Games confirmed it’s adding five new PC apps to the Epic Games Store. The apps in question are Itch-io, Brave, KenShape, Krita, and iHeartRadio, though iHeartRadio will only be available in North America. These will sit alongsideSpotifyas the six available PC apps, and Epic is promising more to come before the end of 2021.

The most widely known of these is iHeartRadio. The digital music platform grants users access to thousands of live radio channels across North America along with a large library of podcasts.
Itch-io is an indie game-focused app that seemingly takes a cue out of the Epic Games Store. The DRM-free open store allows developers to have direct control over game prices and revenue shares of said games.
KenShape and Krita are the most similar as both apps have a focus on art. KenShape allows users to draw out2D pixel art, which is then generated into a 3D model to be used in games or other art projects. Krita focuses on more traditional art, serving as a digital painting app where users can paint and share their pieces to the world.
Brave is an open-source web browser focused on user privacy. Website tracking and ads are blocked on Brave and users are able to share cryptocurrency more easily and directly with other users and content creators on the platform.
These apps are currently available to purchase and download on the Epic Games Store.
