About several months ago, the video game developer Techland announced its decision to bring what is essentiallya year’s worth of free DLCto its zombie infested survival-horror release,Dying Light, by putting out 10 content packages over the course of 12 months. Now, the studio has officially made two of the DLC drops available today, with Content Drop #0 making its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox, and Content Drop #1 coming to both consoles and PC.

For starters, Content Drop #0 is set to include the heavily armed human enemy called the Special Forces Unit, a Mutated Goon zombie, and a new player outfit. As seen in theDying Lighttrailer below, Content Drop #1 is dubbed Lethal Inventions, and it adds three new weapons in the way of an engraved revolver, what appears to be some sort of a magical axe, a glowing dagger. Plus, those who register through Gemly can acquire a monkey wrench called “Ye Old Trusty” later this week. Content Drop #1 makes its debut on PC today, following the release of Content Drop #0 for PC earlier this year.

As it so happens, in order to make their acquisition more fun and meaningful, Techland has made sure that there are stipulations involved when it comes to obtaining the new materials in the aforementioned content drops forDying Light. Players can gain all of the aforementioned DLC by taking on and completing the new special bounties that the developer Techland has added to the game in its latest update.

Taking all of this into consideration, it’s great to see Techland following through on its promise to giveDying Lightfans even more content well after the game’s release back in 2015. Without a doubt, what many believe to be one ofthe best zombie video games of all timeis about to get even better as the developer continues to put out post-launch DLC.

Dying Lightis available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
