Just last week, Arc System Works and Bandai Namco Entertainment put outBroly’s character trailerto primeDragon Ball FighterZfans for the Legendary Super Saiyan’s forthcoming inclusion in the fighting game. Now, the developer and publisher have decided to give players a closer look at the second brawler to be added alongside Broly, with a fresh character trailer having been released today that not only shows off Bardock’s combat prowess, but also confirms that the two will be available in the title on July 20, 2025.
As seen below in the latest character intro trailer forDragon Ball FighterZ, Bardock goes up against the villain Frieza, with the anime series' most recognizable antagonist receiving an absolute beat down at the hands of the Saiyan warrior. After juggling Frieza in a fluid aerial combo, Bardock finally goes full bore and shifts into a Super Saiyan form, unleashing an incredibly powerful Spirit Move that blasts the baddie to kingdom come.
There’s no doubt thatDragon Ball FighterZfans are excited to soon be able to take control of both Broly and Bardock with the game’s first round of DLC, but unfortunately, Arc System Works and Bandai Namco have yet to officially confirm the cost of the expansion content. Those who went all-in on day one and purchased the title’s FighterZ Edition, though, won’t have to worry about such an issue, as they will gain access to each new character as they come at no additional cost.
Speaking of forthcoming roster inclusions beyond Broly and Bardock, Arc System Works and Bandai Namco have yet to unveil any of the new faces on the way, but that hasn’t stoppedDragon Ball FighterZfans from speculating. About a couple of months ago,a datamine potentially revealed DLC charactersto eventually be included, which had Broly and Bardock pegged as the first two add-ons, so perhaps the rest of the list is accurate.
Dragon Ball FighterZis available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
