No matter what platform you’re playing it on (PC, PS5, or Xbox), or which edition you’ve purchased, and whether or not you’ve preordered it, you won’t be able to playClair Obscura second before its scheduled release date. There’s no early access program for preorders of more expansive editions, as with previous cross-platform Game Pass releases,likeIndiana Jones and the Great Circle. It’ll be out on Thursday, April 24, and not a moment before.

Note that this is a simultaneous worldwide release, and all that’s different is the time zone it’s coming out in. But don’t worry about the lack of early access - it’s a single-player game that, while difficult, isn’t the slightest bit competitive, so getting to start a few days early wouldn’t exactly give you a leg up. Everyone has the same starting point - if you’re waiting to play, though, just keep an eye out for spoilers.
