Updated October 27th, 2024 by Usama Ali: The Dapper Delights Update added a ton of exciting content to Disney Dreamlight Valley, as well as introduced the third act for the A Rift in Time expansion. From a new character and restaurant to more cooking recipes, there’s plenty for players to explore and enjoy. One of the most notable additions in the Dapper Delights update is the ability to use the Pink and Blue Marshmallows in different cooking recipes. This guide has been updated with all the new cooking recipes in Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Dapper Delights update and A Rift in Time (Act 3).
Cooking Recipes in Disney Dreamlight Valley
There are more than 300Disney Dreamlight Valleycooking recipesfor players to learn and prepare, with recipes divided into three categories: appetizers, entrées, and desserts. Each recipe has astar ratingwhich indicates the quality of the dish, dictating the number of ingredients required to prepare the dish and informing the player ofwhich recipes will restore more energyor sell for the most Star Coins at Goofy’s Stall.
While certain recipes inDisney Dreamlight Valleyrecipes demand precise ingredients, many others feature “versatile” ingredient slots indicated by a category icon, allowing players to use any ingredient from that specific category. For the most part, players can use any ingredient from that category to fill a versatile ingredient slot, though, in a select few cases, this may result in a different dish being created.
In this guide, any recipes featuring versatile ingredient slots have that slot’s category italicized to spotlight the flexibility in preparing the dish. Whenever a new recipe is discovered, either by experimentation orlearned from a recipe book, the recipe will show up in the main list and detail the required ingredients, making it easy for players to craft this dish again.

How to Cook in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Cookingis a major gameplay feature inDisney Dreamlight Valley, and prepared dishes have many uses. Cooked meals can besold at Goofy’s Stallto earn Star Coins, the game’s primary currency. They can also be gifted to the Valley’s residents to increase their Friendship with the player or served to residents dining at Chez Remy, theRatatouille’s chef’s famed restaurant, once unlocked. This too offers an opportunity for the player to increase their bond with the Disney characters, which leads to unlocking new quests and rewards.
Cooking inDisney Dreamlight Valleycan be performed at any cooking station, which includes any of the game’sStove furniture pieces, or in the kitchen in Remy’s Restaurant. The player should approach the cooking station and press the corresponding interaction hotkey. One of the best features of cooking inDreamlight Valleyis that the player does not need to have the ingredients in their inventory. Instead, the cooking menu will display every ingredient and the amount that the player currently has instorage chestsor their inventory.
Once the player has fired up the cooking pot with apiece of Coal Ore, they can choose from a variety of recipes they’ve already learned or simply select ingredients to toss in the pot and see what comes out. To add an ingredient, click on it and hold down the button to drag it into the pot. There’s no way to fail at cooking; every combination of ingredients will prepare an edible dish that can be consumed to restore energy,sold for Star Coins, or shared with residents.
InDisney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time, accomplished chefs can now showcase their advanced cooking abilities with the new Ancient Cooker machine. This magical device enables players to simultaneously craft multiple servings of the same dish. To unlock the recipe for the Ancient Cooker machine, players need to upgrade the expansion’s new Royal Hourglass tool. These upgrades are done using theTimebending Table, where the Ancient Cooker is also crafted once the recipe is available.
