Another Capcom showcase came and went and fans are upset about the lack of aDino Crisisrelated announcement. This holds especially true afterthe latest showcase featuredExoprimal, a game that’s become more controversial among them with each showcase.Dino Crisisis one of the classic Capcom series that’s been sorely lacking in new content. Year after year, fans of the series have anxiously waited fora series reboot or a remake of the originalDino Crisis, only to be met with disappointment as other franchises likeResident EvilandAce Attorneyget remakes, re-releases, and/or sequels. Not only that, but a new co-op action game featuring dinosaurs calledExoprimalhas been making the rounds and is set to release on July 14.RELATED:Capcom is Releasing Another Ace Attorney CollectionThe most recent Capcom Showcase prominently featured another cinematic trailer forExoprimal. The showcase included game director Takuro Hiraoka stating that feedback will be addressed in the form of a more PvE-focused experience. Of course, this didn’t slip by theDino Crisisfans who took to social media to vent their frustrations with the company for not even acknowledgingDino Crisisin what could be a very epic crossover with this game. That would at least be more thematically sensical than theupcomingStreet Fightercrossover. Some other players have also pointed out the similarities between one ofExoprimal’s characters and Regina, theDino Crisisprotagonist, while mourning the lack of new developments from this series.
Unfortunately,Dino Crisisfans will have to keep waiting for an announcement from Capcom as the showcase featured no sign of this legendary property. WhileExoprimalseems like it’s almost ready for its release, longtime fans of the horror franchise want to see more from the iconic series.
Still, fans will at least continue to have something to look forward to as some fans have taken the task of remaking the game, with some impressive videos showinghow aDino Crisisremake would look in Unreal Engine 5. If the interest for this series continues to thrive, they will still have content to enjoy while continuing to wait for an official announcement.
