In a recently streamed chat with some of theDiablo 4development team members, it was revealed that the devs want to avoid having a singular item farming location similar toDestiny’s Loot Cave. With many players hyper-focusing onleveling up theirDiablo 4charactersor making builds that can easily go through the most difficult dungeons, it is not surprising for Blizzard to implement changes that will hopefully balance the game and spread out the ways players can gather in-game loot and equipment.

Additional tweaks inDiablo 4seem to be the current focus of the game’s community. Many players are calling for both old and new features to be implemented into the action-RPG, especially since many have already put in hundreds of hours into their playthrough. Some of these include additions such as aDiablo 4gem bagor changes in the way that Treasure Goblins work. Though Blizzard may not be able to fix all concerns of the players immediately, seeing the whole list of issues being addressed in an upcoming patch is probably a good way to placate the community for the time being.

During the first of a series ofDiablo 4Campfire Chats, the game’s development team shared that they are working on balancing the game’s elements to avoid having something similar toDestiny’s Loot Cave. According to General Manager Rob Fergussion and Game Director Joe Shely, the goal is to balanceDiablo 4in such a way that there is no “meta” and that all builds players create become “viable.” The team wants players to have many options in acquiring loot, which probably explains the variety of in-game activities at the endgame such as world bosses, rotating events, and Nightmare Dungeons.

Having this kind of goal is understandable, given how the development team wants the players to explore and enjoy all ofDiablo 4’s available content. If there is a single location that allows players to farm massive amounts of experience and loot, this will defeat the purpose of the other activities in the action-RPG. Now, the team’s challenge lies on how they can successfully implement changes to reach this highly sought-after game balance.

TheDiablo 4Campfire Chat seems like a great way for players to see what the team is doing to further improve the video game. Not only does it give players a sense of the direction that the title is going, it also provides the community some assurance about thefuture ofDiablo 4and its upcoming content.

Diablo 4is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
