Aftera trickle of leaksaboutDestiny’s fall expansion, titled Rise of Iron, the doors were blown wide open with full details about the expansion ahead of Bungie’s scheduled Twitch reveal on June 9. First, Rise of Iron’s release date was unintentionally posted on the mainDestinywebsite, revealing that it will be coming out August 01, 2025. Fans already knew that thetarget release would be in the fall, but now they have a hard date.
Soon after that flub, theDestinyexpansion was discovered on the Xbox Store, which gave full details of what is to come forDestinyfans:
Destiny: Rise of Iron is the next highly anticipated expansion to theDestinyuniverse. The wall which stood for centuries along the southern border of Old Russia has collapsed. The Xbox Store also says the expansion will require 14 GB of space. Something that gamers may too find interesting is the fact that theDestinywebsite only listedRise of Ironas being available on current gen consoles. Currently,Destinyis also available on last gen consoles as well as current, but it appears that from here on outDestinymay be only available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Rise of Iron appears to be about the size ofThe Taken Kingexpansion, or perhaps just a bit smaller considering that The Taken King added a three new subclasses. It definitely looks like there will be a good amount of content for fans to dig into this fall.
Bungie has stayed silent on any of the leaks, but all will beofficially revealed tomorrowby Bungie during a Twitch stream. This is just one of many games that have been leaked this week ahead of E3, includingWatch Dogs 2andInjustice 2.
