Warmind, the upcoming expansion forDestiny 2, introduces several new activities for players to enjoy, and among them are three new strikes – one exclusive for PlayStation 4 players. In a recent video with PlayStation, Warmind Design Director Evan Nikolich andDestiny 2Sandbox Lead Josh Hamrick sat down to show off some gameplay from the new Cabal-themed strike coming to PlayStation owners with Warmind.
The strike, dubbed “The Insight Terminus,” takes place on Nessus, and tasks players with hunting down a powerful Psion who is trying to tap into Vex technology. Alongside the strike, PlayStation owners will also be able to earnconsole-exclusive armor sets. The armor sets and strike will be console exclusive until at least Fall 2018.

The video shows a complete run through the Nessus strike, and features commentary from the twoDestiny 2developers who give some insight into the design process for strikes and gear. The strike concludes with a boss fight against the surprisingly large Psion. The video also features gameplay with the Suros Regime, a fan favorite exotic gun fromDestinythat ismaking a comeback with Warmind.
TheDestiny 2fan base is divided on the matter of console exclusives. Clearly PlayStation players are happy for the extra content, but it leaves out the Xbox and PC players. WithDestiny 2not being listed at during theActivision financial highlights call, some are wondering if console exclusives are the best idea for the game at the moment.
Regardless, the strike doesn’t seem to tie into the overall story of Warmind, so Xbox and PC players aren’t missing out on too much. Timed exclusives forDestinyaren’t anything new, as they have been a part of the franchise since vanillaDestinylaunched, as well as nearly every expansion thereafter. Hopefully with the launch of the large September expansions, Xbox and PC players will be able to enjoy the new strike and armor.
Destiny 2: Warmindreleases August 14, 2025 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
