For Season of the Drifter,Destiny 2has introduced anew vanguard pinnacle weaponin the form of the Oxygen SR3 Scout Rifle. It seems people are split on the effectiveness of the rifle, but it’s worth mentioning that it is an Energy Solar 180 RPM weapon. As a pinnacle weapon, it is technically designed to be worked on throughout the season, as it requires 75 strikes, precision kills, and orbs of light. Follow this guide, though, and players can unlock this pinnacle weapon in approximately 5 hours.
To complete the 75 strikes, running Nightfalls is the best method, as they give 5.5% of the 75 strike total. Players can 3-man Strange Terrain – the quickestNightfall StrikeinDestiny 2– with an arc heavyweight with a Wardcliff Coil to complete it in 5-6 minutes. This method should see players complete the first requirement of the Oxygen SR3 pinnacle weapon in approximately 2 hours.
The next steps, getting precision kills and orbs of light, are easy enough to be done in conjunction with one another. The first requirement is that players need to be a Hunter with access to theNightstalkersuper. Players can either load into “The Corrupted” strike and ignore their teammates, or simply change the system date/time to one day ahead to match make alone. Take a Masterwork Kinetic (Handcannon is best) or Energy (automatic is best) and instead of going into the temple in “The Corrupted,” go left into the Strand and the Blind Well.
In Auxiliary Wells, use the Harmony Orbs to get a quick super. The requirement doesn’t count how many Orbs are made, but it counts the times “Player generated X Orbs of Light” pops. This means it’s better to generate orbs with Nightstalker and its super, spamming the text itself 7 times.
This method can be rinsed and repeated until unlocking the necessary 500 orbs and 1K precision kills. While it sounds like this will eat a lot of time, mostDestiny 2players should be able to finish this method quickly enough, and earn themselves a season Pinnacle weapon.
