DC has introduced the world to some of the most iconic superheroes and villains. One of the most popular is the Flash. The Scarlett Speedster races around Central City protecting it from the villains that look to take it over. And it needs him, because Central City sees some of the most evil villains in all theDCuniverse.
Some of the villains stand up to Fastest Man Alive better than others. Some have similar powers tothe Flash, while others have powers that are the complete antithesis to him. But, in the end, many of these villains create the perfect foils for the Flash.
10Weather Wizard
While he’s a bit odd, Weather Wizard stands outas one ofFlash’s villainsdue to his specific powers. Mark Mardon is a criminal who usesa wand to control the weather. He gains this power after his scientist brother, Clyde, learns how to harness the power of weather right before his death.

The ability to control the weather makes him very dangerous given what he is able to throw at an opponent with his wand. In the end, he’s still relatively easy for the Flash to defeat, making him rank lower among the Rogues gallery.
9Captain Boomerang
Captain Boomerang is just a guy throwing boomerangs; he really shouldn’t be as good of a villain as he is. He’s basically a villainous version of the Green Arrow. He’s good with a boomerang, but he’s only as powerful as his strongest weapon. Of course, he’s got some high-powered boomerangs in his arsenal.
Despite being someone who shouldn’t be remembered, his remarkable abilities grabbed the attention of Amanda Waller, which led to him becoming a member ofthe Suicide Squad.
8The Trickster
A couple of people have held the mantle of the Trickster over the years, but both of them caused a lot of trouble for the Flash. The Trickster can be either a genius or a psychopath. He sets tricks and traps for the Flash, but many times they will also annoy other villains as well.
Each version of the Trickster is usually more annoying than dangerous. But, whether it’s James Jesse or Axel Walker, he is still one of the Flash’s greatest villains.
7Mirror Master
Using the power of mirrors to his advantage, Mirror Master is more dangerous than the Trickster, but not as dangerous as others. While some versions of this villain are deadly, most of them are just criminals trying to get one over on the Flash.

He travels through the Mirror World to reach his goals. And, in theNew 52continuity, Mirror Master even develops some of Weather Wizard’s powers after an experiment gone wrong.
6Gorilla Grodd
Gorilla Groddhails from Gorilla City rather than Central City, but still creates major issues for the Scarlett Speedster. Grodd started as a telepath who could control animals. The Gorilla uses his intelligence and strength in his fights with the Flash, rather than a superpower or technology.
Grodd has undergone some changes in various iterations, but, no matter how he is introduced in each reboot, Grodd remains an imposing figure.
5Heat Wave
One half of the fire and ice duo, Mick Rory is the ever-dangerous Heat Wave. Rory is a pyromaniac who commits numerous instances of arson before joining up with Captain Cold to take on various versions of the Flash.
Heat Wave’s gun shoots fire to spread his pyromaniac ways even further. He’s not the smartest villain, but he’s very effective with fire, making him extremely dangerous. Heat Wave transitioned to the television series and even became a hero onLegends of Tomorrow.
4Captain Cold
The other half of this villainous dynamic duo, Leonard Snart is Captain Cold, a villain with a freeze gun. His love of cold makes him comparable to Batman’s Mr. Freeze, but Cold poses a bigger threat to the Flash than Freeze does to Batman.
Captain Cold uses ice to attempt to slow down the Flash to beat him in battle. Cold is the brains of his duo with Heatwave, often coming up with the schemes to try to topple the Fastest Man Alive.
3Killer Frost
A secondcold-related villain, Killer Frost is far more dangerous than Captain Cold. While many of Cold’s victims will thaw out and be okay, Killer Frost isn’t afraid to kill with her cold, hence the name. She doesn’t have a freeze gun, instead forming ice into daggers or using frostbite.

Killer Frost will occasionally side with the Flash and fight other villains in both the comics and the television series and even joined the Justice League for a brief time. But when she’s evil, she is pure evil.
2Zoom
One of two fellow speedsters that have been amazingFlashvillains, Zoom is the villainous nameof Hunter Zolomon. The former Keystone City police officer gained powers in the Speed Force after being injured by Gorilla Grodd. He became Wally West’s greatest enemy.
Outside the comics, he served as a foe for Barry Allen’s version of the Flash on the television series, and helped introduce the character of Jay Garrick to that series. He was the perfect evil speedster for Wally West, but another evil speedster was a little bit better.
1Reverse Flash
For every Flash, there needs to bea Reverse Flash. In the comics, Eobard Thawne is the Flash’s biggest fan and wants to be a hero just like Barry Allen. He gives himself powers through the Speed Force, but creates dangers just so he can be the hero. Eventually, the Flash travels to the future, where the two bond before a falling out.
Reverse Flash then held a personal vendetta against the Flash after Barry Allen turned him in for his crimes. Others have taken up the mantle of the Reverse Flash, but Eobard Thawne’s version has been the perfect antithesis for the Scarlett Speedster.
