The show has entered at #9 in the charts, one position above the revival showDexter: Resurrection.It clocked up 78 million minutes viewed, compared toResurrection’s 51 million minutes, andBlue Bloods(at #8), with 82 million minutes viewed.

Dexteris one of the most popular and successful crime dramas, and it enjoyed great success during its original run. The show’s strong performance on streaming, and new lease of life on Paramount+, suggest new viewers have flocked to the show, and it could even climb higher on the Paramount+ top 10 list of shows in the coming weeks.

The revival show has clocked a franchise-high 94% Rotten Tomatoes rating to date, and shows there is still life in this long-running franchise, which continues to attract viewers.

Our Take On Dexter’s Streaming Success

Dexterhad one of the most divisive series finales in television history, so it is great that the show has had a chance to course correct with its revival shows. And, the success ofResurrectionsuggests the franchise is heading in the right direction, which is no doubt generating nostalgia for the original show.

How longDexterwill remain in the Paramount+ top 10 is unclear at this stage, but the fact that it has been joined byResurrectionis a positive sign. If both shows are able to generate interest in the other, they could be in for a long streaming stint, and this is something that could helpDexterenjoy much-needed retroactive success.
