It’s a distinct world that lends itself well to other visual mediums, asNetflix’s upcoming TV seriescan attest, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise to know thatCupheadis branching out into comics too.
Dark Horse Comics got the ball rolling earlier this month with the release of the first graphic novel starring StudioMDHR’s mascot,Cuphead: Comic Capers & Curios, and today, IGN announced that a follow-up,Cuphead Vol. 2: Cartoon Chronicles & Calamities, is set to come out on July 20, 2025, priced at $10.99. The announcement also came with an exclusive look at the novel’s cover and a handful of pages.

Cartoon Chronicles & Calamitiesis the latest in a growing number of video game-related books that Dark Horse has in the works. The publisher also has acomic book adaptation ofCyberpunk 2077planned to launch in September, as well as art books for such upcoming games asAssassin’s Creed ValhallaandHalo Infinitethat will be released alongside them.
