Why yes, there is such a thing as the Canadian Video Game Awards! The 3rd annual edition of the awards show will take place in Vancouver on April 21st, and coincides withFan Expo Vancouver(limited seatingavailableto Fan Expo pass holders). A number of finalists have recently been picked from the largerlist of nominees.
The main competition seems to be betweenDeus Ex: Human Revolution,Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, andSuperbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP. The public can vote on their Game of the Year, effectively forcing you to choose betweenDeus Ex: Human RevolutionandSword and Sworcery EP(unless you thinkFIFA 12,Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, orFight Night Championdeserves the award).Deus Ex: HRhas been criminally neglected in many awards ceremonies to date, so I think they deserve a nod on their home turf this time around.
