“Warzonehas zero tolerance for cheaters.” Activision has released a statement in the form of a blog post about cheating inCall of Duty: Warzone.
The post claims that the team takes cheating very seriously, and has been since day one. To date, 50,000 permabans have been issued to cheaters who have been caught inWarzone.

Fans online have been increasingly upset about a myriad of cheaters, including a recent one in which someone was found tohave unlimited health, so Activation may be responding to the outcry. These banhammers have been happening in the shadows, but now Activision wants the world to know what they’ve been doing, and the continual plans moving forward.
Some of the programs that are used to counteract hackers in the game include 24/7 monitoring, reviewals of wallhacks, aimbots, and more, investigating incoming reports, and banning players as soon as possible. Perhaps the biggest thing to note is that the blog post mentions a plan to add the much asked forin-game reporting featurefor any potential cheaters.
This update from Activision is certainly good news for fans ofWarzone. Fans on Twitter and Reddit have been talking about quitting the game entirely for a short time based on how bad the cheating has gotten. One quick fix, for many commentators online, would be taking off theforced crossplay ofWarzone. As of now, the game doesn’t allow the player to take it off, and many believe that the majority of the hackers reside on the PC side of gamers. But if Activision continues to permaban cheaters on all platforms, that would be a good fix as well.
