In most instances, cheaters make online gaming an unpleasant experience for others, by giving the cheater major advantages over those who are playing fairly. Activision and Tencent are well aware of this, and have promised to take swift and lasting action against those who insist upon cheating inCall of Duty Mobile.
Speaking in aCall of Duty MobileReddit thread, a representative noted that, “If we see cheating we will enforce on it with our Security & Enforcement Policy in mind.” The policy is fairly strict, indicating that while most offenders will receive a one-time warning with a temporary suspension from the game, wracking up two offenses or committing a single offense which causes “detriment to other players or has organized large groups of players to commit additional offenses” will be permanently banned from the game. Their data will also be stripped from the leaderboards, ensuring that theCall of Duty Mobileleaderboardisn’t hijacked by outlandish scores.

While players may be pleased to know that the developers are taking cheating andhackers inCall of Duty Mobileso seriously, the developers are also considering false flags. Players will be given the opportunity to request a manual appeal through Reddit or other officialCoD: Mobilechannels. The devs claim that they’ve already reversed some bans through this manner, and are looking in to a way to handle future requests in-game.
Of course, developers will always have their work cut out for them to keep banned cheaters from finding ways to come back, butCall of Duty Mobilefans will gladly be pleased to know that the situation is being taken so seriously.
