The Baron’s Workshop will be open for business

Taito has announced that the Steam port of its cutesy multiplayer throwbackBubble Bobble 4 Friendswill launch on Steam September 30, offering PC players all of the bubble-blowing arcade action of the console release as well as the exciting new creator mode known as “The Baron’s Workshop”.

The Steam port ofBubble Bobble 4 Friendswill include all of the launch and DLC content from the PS4 and Nintendo Switch editions — that’s over 200 stages, four-player couch co-op, and a full port of the original 1986 classic — as well as an in-depth toolset and stage creator, allowing die-hard Bub and Bobs to create their ownBubble Bobblestages that can then be shared through the Steam Workshop service. Don’t forget to stick Baron von Blubba in the mix… He’s a scary fella.

The Baron’s Workshop will feature options for stage layout, enemy placement, bonus items, even wind direction, and thus will be an endless sandbox of entertainment for the dedicatedBubble Bobblecommunity. Bubble Bobble 4 Friendslaunches on PCvia SteamSeptember 30, priced at around $40, though a 15% price discount will be applied for the first week of release. It is also available right now on PS4 and Nintendo Switch, sans creator mode.
