Closely following the reveal of agameplay trailerforCall of Duty: Black Ops 3’s forthcoming expansion pack known as Zombies Chronicles, Activision and Treyarch have decided to release a handful of fresh videos detailing the remastered environments found in four of the eight maps to be included in the DLC. As it so happens, the companies provided short little clips about a half a minute long apiece for the add-on’s maps Nacht Der Untoten, Verrückt, Shi No Numa, and Kino Der Toten.

As seen below in the tweets courtesy of Activision and Treyarch, while the maps inCall of Duty: Black Ops 3’s Zombies Chronicles DLC have already been provided as playable assets at one point in time in the first-person shooter franchise, the game’s developers have certainly added a great deal of polish and graphical refinements to the textures, lighting, shadows, and colors in order to make them look even more realistic than before. Although they don’t provide much else in the way of in-depth breakdowns, they’re definitely capable of invoking nostalgia in the hearts of fans.

Starting with Nacht Der Untoten–the de facto origin of theCall of Dutyfranchise’s Zombies mode–fans can get a quick glimpse at the airfield fromWorld at War, and then check out the constrained battle zones of Verrückt, the swampy environs of Shi No Numa, and the elaborate theater in Kino Der Toten.  The next four maps are to come fromBlack OpsandBlack Ops 2–Ascension, Shangri-la, Moon, and Origins–and they will presumably get their own mini-trailers somewhere down the line.

It won’t be much longer untilCall of Duty: Black Ops 3’s Zombies Chronicles comes out, as Treyarch has already releaseda patch preparing for its launch, but it’s important to note that PlayStation 4 fans will be getting first dibs on the content. As it happens, thanks to Activision’s timed-exclusivity deal with Sony, PC and Xbox One fans will have to wait at least a month for Zombies Chronicles to drop for the respective platforms.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s Zombies Chronicles DLC is set to launch tomorrow, May 31, 2025 for PlayStation 4, with PC and Xbox One releases to follow.
