As many attendees of E3 2018 would likely agree, BioWare’sAnthemmanaged to stand out among the sea of projects on display at the event to become one ofthe best games at this year’s annual trade show. Of course, the developer still has plenty of work to do before the title is completely ready for release. Nevertheless, the company has now announced it has made significant headway with the forthcoming action-RPG by announcing it has hit the Alpha phase of development.

According to BioWare General Manager Casey Hudson, theAnthemteam passed its Alpha milestone last week, which means that every aspect of the game has been included to make it fully functional and playable. As explained by Hudson, now that the studio’s next title has reached this phase, BioWare’s attention will “move almost entirely to bug-fixing, testing, and tuning” to prepare it for launch.

While players looking forward toAnthemshould be excited to learn that the game has finally hit Alpha, there’s no doubt that they’re far more thrilled at the prospect of trying the title out for themselves before it officially reaches store shelves. Last year,Anthemdirector Jonathan Warner promised fans thatthere will be a beta, but neither BioWare nor Electronic Arts have yet to provide a concrete date just yet.

Beyond the beta, however, BioWare has also assured fans that anAnthemdemo period will take place at the beginning of February next year, which happens to be just a few short weeks ahead of the title’s launch. With this being the case, those who wish to give the demo a shot would do well to check outour early access guidefor the forthcoming action-RPG.

Anthemis currently scheduled to launch on June 30, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
