Bethesda is a very self-aware company, and when Todd Howard took to the stage at the Bethesda E3 2018 Press Conference, he knew fans were eager to hear aboutFallout 76. He also knew thatSkyrim- with its numerous editions some 7 years after its release - had becoming somewhat of a joke prediction for Bethesda’s E3 2018 showcase. So, after making his introduction, Todd did what Todd does best: troll the audience with a fake trailer for a newSkyrim: Very Special Edition, starring none other than Keegan-Michael Key.
In the faux-commercial, Keegan-Michael Key sits down on the couch and begins to play someSkyrimon just about the only modern platform it hasn’t been on yet: the Amazon Echo. Alexa narrates the game in an almostDungeons and Dragons-like manner, but the suburban life that Keegan-Michael Key leads isn’t exactly cohesive with the Alexa’s playstyle.

The Amazon Echo is no stranger to the videogame world in real life, where Alexa has been known tomakeMass Effectjokesfrom time to time. Though she did a fine enough job in that, we think Keegan-Michael Key does it best.
WithSkyrimhaving several editions across both the last generation and current generation of consoles - including the Nintendo Switch and a VR edition - it’s no surprise that even Bethesda couldn’t resist cracking fun about the game’s longevity either. Of course, once Todd Howard had his fun with the misdirection, he did delve into the much more real topic ofFallout 76, making some largely unexpected announcements like the fact that it’ll be an online-focused title. Fans hoping for a newElder Scrollsannouncement, however, will have to make due with theElder Scrolls Online,Elder Scrolls: Legends,or even the just-announced mobileElder Scrolls Blades.
Skyrimis officially not coming to the Amazon Echo, an Etch A Sketch, a Motorola Pager, or even a Samsung Smart Refrigerator.
